Chp. 20

In chapter twenty, Henry and Wilson are fighting over carrying the flag while also fighting their enemy. Henry's Lieutenant calls him a mule driver and goes to the front line as a color bearer. At this point they can't even see their enemy because of all the smoke that has built up from cannons and guns. Once the smoke finally clears they see a lonely field of dead bodies of their enemy. So Henry is relieved he made it through another battle.

-Why are Henry and Wilson wasting time over carrying the flag? Just allow one of them to do it and keep fighting.
