Noise & Silence- When they were waiting for the Germans the music was playing but then when they finally see them coming. the music stops and its just a silence.
Youth & Maturity- The Corporal/ Translator is too scared to kill anyone, but finally after he lets a Nazi kill his partner and let him go, he ends up capturing him but kills him instead.
Clean & Dirty- This would take place when on of the men dies and gives his letter home to another soldier to send home, and instead of sending it home all bloody and dirty, he rewrites his letter on a dry and clean piece of paper.
The Dead Soldier-Wade would represent the kill one soldier but save 1ten times or maybe twenty times as many men.
The Flag- this is what they are fighting for and what the reminds them of home or maybe the war.
The Hand- The General/ Teacher ended up noticing that his hand just randomly shook for no apparent reason. He know that it started be cause of the war. Then towards the end when he's dying, his hand stops.
Courage- They all had to have or build up courage when they were charging the bunkers.
Manhood-Private Ryan Reached his manhood when he decided to stay and fight with his regiment instead of go back to Iowa with his mom. He said his mom would understand if he stayed and fought not only for his brothers death, not only for his country, but to fight for the only brothers he has left,which would be the men in his regiment who he's been fighting with.
